Tom Holgate

SVP Finance

Tom Holgate is the SVP Finance (Group Finance Director) at BenevolentAI, responsible for the Finance team activities, which span the annual reporting and budgeting cycles, financial operations and transaction support. During his five-year tenure at BenevolentAI, Tom has supported the Company’s significant growth and scale by building operational maturity, contributing to capital raises and taking a lead role in BenevolentAI’s recent business combination and listing on the Euronext Amsterdam.

Tom has over 20 years of experience and has held a number of senior finance roles, spanning financial planning and analysis (FP & A), controller, reporting and technical accounting. Prior to joining BenevolentAI, he led the central FP & A team for MS Amlin – a former FTSE 250 company with an annual expense base of £500 million. He also worked as a Financial Controller at American Express and Audit Manager at EY. Tom studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham and is a qualified accountant (FCA).
