We are looking for curious, collaborative and mission-driven people who share our vision and want to be part of our journey.

(Y)Our mission

Help us discover medicines that preserve human life

Despite billions of dollars being spent on drug development each year, there is still a 96% overall failure rate in drug development.

Today, we have the opportunity to do better. BenevolentAI was founded to rethink the way drug discovery is done and deliver a pipeline of new medicines to patients suffering from devastating diseases. We have built a new type of culture based on true collaboration between science and technology. Machine learning engineers, data scientists, informaticians, drug discovery scientists and chemists work together to derive new biological insights that lead to new medicines. We do it “because it matters”.

Our culture

BenevolentAI is a place to ignite conversations that wouldn’t happen anywhere else

Our culture is respectful and collaborative, and we work alongside intelligent, generous teammates who go out of their way to share knowledge. We offer a competitive benefits package and learning and development budget to ensure everyone feels valued and supported to do their best work. We’re committed to ensuring that every person feels like they belong and encourage employees to use their own experiences to shape life at BenevolentAI: from lunch and learns and volunteer days to clubs for shared interests, there’s something here for everyone.

Be yourself

Unlocking complex biology to find new ways to treat disease isn’t a problem that can be solved in siloes. Diversity is critical to achieving our mission, and we embrace people from all backgrounds and experiences, who challenge each other’s assumptions with fresh perspectives.

We have over 35 nationalities and a range of backgrounds in our team: every single person brings something unique and valuable to the table. We have achieved a 50/50 gender split globally across the organisation, and we are determined to maintain this gender balance and promote other forms of diversity at all levels.

We strive to actively build a workplace where everyone is and feels welcomed, respected, supported and valued. Diversity is celebrated, and people can be their true self and discuss issues that affect them most through our networks, including our LGBTQIA+ Network, Parents and Carers Network or Gender Network.
