Parjeet Kaur

VP Intellectual Property

Parjeet Kaur is VP of Intellectual Property (IP) at BenevolentAI, and is responsible for strategy and management of the Company’s IP, taking a holistic approach to protecting IP across the whole spectrum of BenevolentAI’s activities, and growing the Company’s patent portfolio for both scientific and technological inventions.

She is also an active member of the IP community, sitting on a number of committees that all focus on sharing expertise, knowledge and practices, and is passionate about diversity and inclusion as well as mentoring and supporting women in STEM and the IP profession.

Parjeet earned a PhD in Biochemistry from University College London (UCL), and has qualified as a Chartered UK Patent Attorney as well as a European Patent Attorney. Prior to joining BenevolentAI in 2017, she spent 10 years providing strategic IP counsel to diverse organisations, including multinational corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups and academic institutions, primarily in the life sciences sector, but also in other industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, engineering and technology.
