The Role

At BenevolentAI we are committed to improving Drug Discovery with Machine Learning. As VP of Product, you will work closely with the CTO to devise and develop the product strategy for our AI-Driven Drug Discovery function. You will be accountable for setting and executing the product roadmap across the company. You will be responsible for leading and developing a world-class team of Product Managers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the CTO to devise the product vision and strategy, and set the product roadmaps to deliver a platform that responds to the needs of our internal and external users.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch across the technology organisation.
  • Monitor product development sprints and evaluate results, and improve processes as needed.
  • Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
  • Shape, mentor, and lead the product management team. Design and implement an organisational plan to grow and develop the team’s capabilities.
  • Recruit and retain top product management talent, and develop a strong product management team culture.
  • Be a participating member of the Product and Tech Leadership Team, building relationships across key stakeholders throughout the company to drive impact.
  • Represent BenevolentAI externally as a thought leader in product management.
  • Be driven by the ability to have an impact on the world and the desire to make it a better place.

We are looking for someone with

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field
  • Substantial experience (5-10 years) in product management
  • A proven track record of setting vision and strategic goals, as well as translating those strategic goals into roadmaps, OKRs, staffing requirements, and a team structure
  • Experience in life sciences
  • Industry experience in biotechnology or AI-driven products
  • Experience in building and leading product teams, including managers
  • Proven experience leading successful product launches and maintaining products throughout their lifecycle
  • Experience collaborating and influencing cross-functionally, building relationships with other teams
  • Bonus point for start-up and scale-up experience
  • Experience with investor relations
