We are seeking one software engineer to join our New York team and work within our Target Identification product area. At BenevolentAI we are developing software systems to enable our machine learning, informatics, and drug discovery programmes. You will apply your software engineering background and rigour to develop and execute a full project, working with more senior software engineers and the various teams within the product area. As part of the Target Identification product area, you will work within the BioQuest team, working on the core engineering of a major bioinformatics data pipeline. This will include working closely with bioinformaticians to understand the functionality that produces the data, as well as with engineers to implement the features within a newly designed extensible, testable, and performant domain structure. You will learn about the design and development of high-performance data pipelines, and how to create production-ready features to run in them, including how to write effective tests and run them within a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment process.
