The Role

As Product Manager in Precision Medicine, you will work with the Product Area Lead to improve and expand our precision medicine capabilities, consisting of clinical, genetics and genomics workflows. You will work closely with our users and multidisciplinary squads to solve real-world issues and build capabilities to improve our drug discovery workflows. We are keen to hear from user-focussed technical Product Managers with experience working in the biotech or healthtech space. We are looking for someone with experience in working with AI/ML scientists and engineers, a scientific background and with a proven track record of building technical products that create significant impact for their users. Challenging and meaningful, this role will give you a chance to bring your own experience, ideas, and creativity to push forward exciting projects quickly with the chance to try genuinely new ways to find medicines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages multidisciplinary squads responsible for the creation of solutions that directly impact our drug discovery workflows
  • Leads the requirements definition of our clinical, genetics and genomics workflows and captures technical (engineering and data scientist) user needs that help maximise the value and use of our data
  • Runs Agile product management of squads
  • Defines squad roadmaps in line with the mission and vision of the product area, ultimately feeding into the company goals and objectives
  • Employs a user-driven approach to identify user needs and ensures senior stakeholders and the broader business understand the value of this approach.
  • Leads the measurement and validation of our products and features enabling us to make decisions based on data
  • Has experience managing teams in which we strike a balance between doing cutting edge research and product development
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Has an understanding of clinical, genetic and genomics data
  • Develops and maintains a solid foundation of the competitive landscape and proactively identifies potential issues/risks
  • As a member of the Product Management team, contributes to defining an effective product management process that can scale as the business continues to grow

We are looking for someone with

  • At least a BSc in a technical field (Biology, Chemistry, Genetics) or equivalent technical experience
  • 2+ years experience as a Technical Product Manager
  • Experience leading technical teams with a strong AI/ML component
  • Experience capturing complex user needs and improving user experience from multidisciplinary end users
  • Experience in working in an agile environment
  • Experience building roadmaps to deliver tangible value towards company goals
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels inside an organisation
  • Passionate for the science we do and is an advocate for precision medicine within the company
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or biomedical sector is a plus
