The Role

We are seeking one product manager to join our London team and work within our Target Identification product area. As part of the Product Management team, you will work on researching, scoping, defining the requirements and validation approach for our biological data exploration and selection tools. The goal of this project will be to work closely alongside the product manager, designer, data scientist, and engineer to define a plan to address user needs assessing both internal and external options.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Pursue a research project to investigate new approaches in applying Tech-driven methods for drug discovery and development.
  • Work as a member of a cross-functional team comprising specialists in informatics, engineering, AI, drug discovery and product for applied research.
  • Understand the currently available python package-based biological data analysis tools.
  • Support the product manager and user experience designer in conducting research to outline minimum requirements for a biological data exploration tool.
  • Support the product manager and user experience designer in running a design sprint to outline minimum requirements for a biological data exploration tool.
  • Support the product manager in documenting requirements for a biological data exploration tool.
  • Support the data scientist in documenting the approach for biological data selection.
  • Conduct market research outlining the capabilities of currently existing third-party tools for biological data exploration.

We are looking for someone with

  • A strong background showcasing creativity and persistence in efforts.
  • A BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng or PhD in a technical, scientific, user experience, or business-related field, or equivalent/alternative commercial or academic experience.
  • Understanding of user research approaches.
  • Experience with design sprints.
  • General understanding of how a user story is constructed.
  • Familiarity with the phases of the product development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Nice to haves
  • Academic or professional experience with multi-omics data.
  • Basic familiarity with Python, Numpy, and Pandas.
