The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding group supporting a growing pipeline of projects. We are looking for an experienced DMPK project representative to join an expanding DMPK group. The individual will have demonstrated a track record of working within project teams as the DMPK point of contact and shown how they have successfully influenced the progress of the teams they were a part of.They will be expected to engage fully in multi-functional collaborations to support profiling of lead compounds /drug candidates, building a clear picture of IVIVC PK/PD, and ultimately to ensure translation from in vitro data and in vivo non-clinical studies to prediction of pharmacokinetics, efficacy and safety in patients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be the DMPK lead for drug discovery programs being responsible for the project strategy and cascade along with the project team.
  • Plan and manage internal and external DMPK studies on behalf of project teams
  • Experienced in DMPK activities such as IVIVC, human dose prediction, PBPK and safety predictions.
  • Lead the DMPK activities within a project and work with colleagues within and across projects, influencing the way we support drug discovery.
  • Interpretation/communication of DMPK data and recommendations to drug discovery project team to aid effective drug design and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and execute effective nonclinical PK/PD strategies from early discovery through to development

We are looking for someone with

  • Ideally experienced in profiling for LO and Candidate Seeking with examples of problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience M&S tools such as Phoenix, SimCYP, Gastroplus etc would be an advantage
  • A calm team player with a proactive and positive problem-solving mindset, confident to contribute strategically and implement ideas to drive assays, processes and targets forward.
  • You should be comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and on multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines, working closely with colleagues to schedule studies in-house and balancing with outsourcing external studies where required.
  • Experienced in determination and interpretation of ADME properties, IVIVC, experience of human dose prediction, and ideally able to adapt study designs.
  • Up to date with industry practice and regulatory guidance, including MIST guidelines.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, able to collaborate with internal and external colleagues. You will be willing to share knowledge with more junior members of the team with the possibility of line management responsibility
