Office Attendant

The Role

We are looking for an Office Attendant to join BenevolentAI’s Office team. This is an opportunity for someone beginning a career in office management to gain valuable experience and training in hospitality, facilities management and administration. This chance to join a unique company and work with business, scientific and tech staff, alongside an experienced office manager. The Office Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and well-run office environment where we can all best deliver on our goals, as well as running events for staff. We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to take on this role from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Welcoming visitors by greeting them: in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directing visitors by maintaining employee and department directories and giving instructions.
  • Maintaining security by following procedures, monitoring logbooks, and issuing visitor badges.
  • Answering the phone and redirecting the call when necessary or taking messages
  • Maintaining a safe and clean office area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Creating continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing ad hoc tasks as needed
  • New Starters: take their photo, create the profile on Confluence, update the photo wall
  • Sorting mail in and out using Royal Mail or courier
  • Ordering food when necessary for internal meetings
  • Organising transport when necessary
  • Responsible for booking meetings when requested and managing all the meeting rooms calendars
  • Responsible for keeping the kitchen and meeting room areas organised, stocked and tidy
  • Assist with delivering events such as Happy Hours, Innovation week, fundraisers etc
  • Arranging training & occupational Health appointments
  • Organising transport when necessary
  • Responsible for booking meetings when requested and managing all the meeting rooms calendars
  • Responsible for keeping the kitchen and meeting room areas organised, stocked and tidy
  • Assist with delivering events such as Happy Hours, Innovation week, fundraisers etc
  • Arranging training & occupational Health appointments

We are looking for someone with
