DMPK Outsourcing (Senior) Scientist

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual, with great communication skills to join our outsourcing team within the DMPK group. This position requires excellent strategic thinking and project management skills. The candidate will work as a point of contact for the group with research partners and interact with many different teams within the drug discovery organisation. We are ideally looking for a scientist who has some familiarity with DMPK assays and studies, who is looking for a change in direction from lab or project duties.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the outsourcing of routine ADMET screening cascade studies
  • Building on existing relationships with CROs, facilitating communication between our CROs and the DMPK team
  • Liaising with project representatives to agree and confirm study designs and timelines
  • Responsible for routine data uploads to Dotmatics database
  • Working closely with project management team to optimise management, sign off and tracking for studies
  • Responsible for compound ordering, coordination of supplies and data, and tracking of shipments for routine studies
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field and work with CROs to validate new approaches or find those who can offer these services.
  • Potential to manage and coordinate later stage studies, working closely with project reps to ensure designs are suitable, potentially toxicology studies if experience is relevant.
  • To interface efficiently with the project management team to update and streamline processes

We are looking for someone with

  • Knowledge of DMPK and the wider Drug Discovery environment.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience of working within a project team would be advantageous and could be an additional responsibility of the role
  • Able to communicate with scientists from different backgrounds such as chemistry and pharmacology
  • Experience of databases such as Dotmatics
  • Knowledge/use of programs such as Smartsheet or MS project.
