Director of Financial Reporting

The Role

The Finance team is looking for a qualified accountant who is keen to take on a new role for the business, with the responsibility of creating and leading the external financial reporting of the Group, as required for a public listed group on Euronext, Amsterdam, planned for 2022.

This role reports to the VP Head of Financial Operations. The role will require working closely with CFO and Group FD as well as others within the functions including Legal, IR, People and Communications teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Annual and interim accounts external financial reporting for a Public Company Environment (e.g. RNS etc.)
  • Technical Reporting Experience,
  • BAI Website financial reporting build and Compliance Monitoring.
  • Audit Committee Presentation and Materials Production Experience
  • Share-based administration and reporting
  • US financial reporting and compliance (e.g. Sox Control Environment Experience and US GAAP)
  • Financial governance including processes and controls documentation
  • Board Briefing and extensive engagement with Senior Leaders and comfortable operating at that level to support the GFD & CFO with external Analyst presentations on reported positions.

We are looking for someone with

  • Fully qualified chartered accountant
  • Strong financial technical understanding of IFRS
  • Experience of compiling public listed annual and interim accounts
  • A highly self-motivated individual with the highest integrity
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English with finance and non-finance individuals
  • Good planning and documentation skills to help yourself and others quickly reference key information and meet deadlines
  • An ability to think ahead and create functional strategies to set objectives and meet our deliverables
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • Adaptable and comfortable in embracing change in a fast growth company and proactively look for improvements to existing processes and controls
  • A team-oriented approach to working
  • Familiarity with the following may be useful: Biotech or Tech environments, Euronext compliance obligations, Netsuite accounting platform, Intertrust share platform, Corporation and Payroll Taxes.
